WANT ORIGINAL ARTWORK?
Who doesn't? So how do you get your own? Easiest way is to see us in person at convention or other events and tell us what you want!
Can't make it out? Contact us and send us an idea of what you want. You can be as specific or vague as you want. Let us know what format you need it in, i.e. digital (print or web based media) or traditional (pencils, inks or color).
We're working on opening pre-show commission lists for upcoming conventions, so stay tuned.
TRADITIONAL ART
Here are a couple standard sizes that are available at shows
Half-Letter (5.5 x 8.5"), NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Letter (8.5 x 11"), starting at $40 USD
Tabloid (11 x 17"), starting at $75 USD
DIGITAL ART
These commissions are a little tricky. In your inquiry, provide the following info:
Is it for print or web-based media?
File size & resolution. The larger the file dimensions and resolution, the more time it takes to produce the work.
Personal or commercial use? Commercial use comes along with a bunch of other copyright complications that should be discussed in detail...there's no easy way around it.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Artwork takes time, the more complicated the more it will cost. The simpler it is, the less. So a Spongebob SquarePants commission will be less than the full roster of the JLA/Avengers crossover.
The less direction/description given, the more artistic liberties we'll take, "Batman...just make him badass." The more concise you are in describing your vision, the closer the artwork is to what you want, "Batman with a tattered costume, staring down the Mutant Leader holding a lit torch. But Batman is standing on top of the Bat-Tank from The Dark Knight Returns scene." You get the picture.
Got questions? Ask, we'll pin down what you're looking for even if you can't articulate it. We haven't had any dissatisfied customers...yet.
