Speedpaint of Sidekick dodging the monster flyers, affectionally coined 'crabbats.' After two nights of painting backgrounds, it was a relief to be drawing an action panel.  [04MAY22]

Finishing the full page background layers for page 09. Total time spent coloring this was just over 4 hours. The starting image was made in SketchUp and exported as a 2D image.  It looks like crap until its all colored, shaded & textured.  [03MAY22]

Speedpaint of the abandoned subway transfer station atrium. Same location from Monster City part II. The architecture is based on Grand Central Station. Backgrounds are intricately boring, but simple and easy to do because I don't have to think...just draw lines & color. [02MAY22]

Speedpaint of my amazing looking chicken-dinosaur monsters the boys have to fight in the upcoming third issue. Half velociraptor...half chicken...ALL MONSTER. These guys, affectionately named "Dromaegals," are fun to draw. [01MAY22]
